SOFT, STRONG & STRUCTURED. Dense black cherry aromas, with
hints of clove, set up velvety layers of black cherry, plum & ripe blueberry.

Terra Blanca’s 300-acre estate is located
on the southwest corner of Washington State’s Red Mountain growing region. A
combination of slope, soil composition and climate make their vineyard very unique.
Red Mountain lies within the rain shadow of the Cascade Range, and with an
average annual rainfall of just 8 inches, the region is officially classified
as a desert. The lack of rainfall allows for strict management of water through
drip irrigation. Irrigation water comes from wells located on the estate, not
from irrigation systems which lack sufficient water in drought years. Temperatures
on the Terra Blanca Estate average around 5 degrees warmer than the nearby
valley floor; warm summer days subside to cool desert nights, giving our grapes
ample ripeness, while maintaining natural acid profiles. Higher winter
temperatures provide relief from vine damaging cold and spring frosts. |
