From Lodi, this sumptuous Zin is a must-try for lovers of the grape, with mild dark fruits and a decadent sweetness on the end. From Ironstone’s old-vine Zinfandel plots in the Lodi area’s Rous Vineyard, planted over a century ago, in 1909. These old vines work together wine sandy, loam-based soils, allowing flavors to concentrate within the grapes. Concentrated grapes make for flavorful wines, and this excellent Zin is no exception. Ironstone is a strong believer in sustainable farming, and treats their land as a single, complete ecosystem, careful not to upset nature’s balance.
