Description
FRESH & VIBRANT. Ripe, spicy scents of blueberry, plum & earth, with hints of vanilla, tobacco & chocolate. Balanced, smoky fruit flavors on the palate, with a soft & supple body & a lengthy, lip-smacking finish.

100% Syrah

“1865” is San Pedro’s single vineyard line, and is dedicated to crafting pure wines that reflect the best aspects of the grapes & the lands upon which they grow. The 2007 Syrah comes from the Los Quillayes Vineyard, in Chile’s Cachapoal Valley, located high up in the Andes Mountains. At 2300 feet above sea level, nights get very chilly, allowing intense flavors to develop while warm, sunny daytime conditions ensure that the grapes fully ripen. 2007 was a cooler than average year, which adds an atypical freshness to this outstanding Syrah & imparts it with a scintillating spicy quality.
