Michel Tete is a third generation wine maker, who founded Domaine du Clos du Fief in 1988 on lands passed down from his grandfather, which are some of the finest in the entire Julienas sub-region of Beaujolais. Michel makes his wines in traditional Brugundian fashion; though he makes no claims to organic viticulture, his methods are old-fashioned enough that they could qualify for the label. The resulting reds are bold & lively, capable of aging but also approachable while still very young.
