Pascal and Beatrice Lambert created Les Chesnaies in 1987
with the belief that Chinon, made from Cabernet France, is a multi-faceted wine
that is made very differently from one end of this Loire Valley region to the
other. Beatrice and Pascal like the agility of Cabernet Franc, which is equally
at home as a fancy red for a formal estate party or as an easy-drinking quaff
served with a country dinner. They also believe that vines should grow free from
pesticides & chemicals, and that clean, healthy grapes produce clean,
healthy wines.
