For over a decade, Heron Wines has been making distinctive, delicious, varietal wines from the best places on Earth. Nearly from the start, they have carefully managed this old-vine vineyard, located in France’s Vin de Pays d’Oc region, tending these quarter-century old Merlot vines. In the Pyrenees foothills, St Chinian is the one of the smallest and coolest enclaves in all of southwest France. Close attention to keeping yields down, and the inherent benefits of the vineyard location & climate - high elevation & cool northerly winds – all add to the complex character & flavor of this fantastic wine.
