Tightly knit and racy, this is mouthwatering and harmonious, showing flavors of black currant, smoked almond, candied lemon zest, honey and chalk. Vibrant and hard to stop sipping, with a firm, smoky finish.
Vivid yellow. Ripe and pungent on the nose, displaying buttered toast and poached pear aromas and a hint of candied ginger. Pliant and spicy in the mouth, with gently sweet pear and yellow apple flavors complemented by a touch of brioche. Finishes on a spicy note, with good grip and a touch of back-end heat.
Wine & Spirits
This wine’s green apple and mineral scents have an oxidative tone, bringing to mind Fino Sherry. It’s rich and smoky, solidly built, balanced by touches of bitterness. For smoked salmon and crème fraîche.
This soft and fruity wine is attractively balanced and fresh. Lively acidity brings out a bright texture and crisp aftertaste. This bottling, disgorged in April 2013 (bravo Besserat de Bellefon for indicating this), is now at the right moment to drink.
