This wine is deep mulberry in color with hints of youthful purple at the rim. Intense aromas of pepper and nutmeg play with notes of blueberry and subtle oak spice. Medium bodied and elegant, the palate is full of red fruits with fine grained tannins and a peppery, long finish.
Served perfectly alongside seared hare fillet with sautéed Shitake mushrooms, roasted pear and apple sage jelly.

The majority of the fruit for this wine comes from the Strathbogie Ranges, hills east of Melbourne with vineyards rising to 2,100 feet. Fermented in stainless steel to emphasize the fragrance of the grapes, this is a bright, spicy shiraz with scents of sage and green peppercorns. It’s lean rather than full bodied, with a fine, sandy abrasion to its tannins, tumbling with kinetic energy as the flavors last.

A generous, expressive and focused red, with a distinctive peppery character, balanced nicely against tangy red berry and cherry fruit. Finishes with intensity and finesse.

This medium-bodied Shiraz isn't as dark or concentrated as many of its brethren, but it still makes for an enjoyable drink. Cracked pepper notes take the lead, followed by modest red-berry fruit and a crisp finish.
