The 2015 Barra Chardonnay starts with enticing ripe pear aromas mixed with warm caramel notes. On the palate, the richness is balanced by refreshing acidity and zesty lemon/lime flavors. The wine was barrel fermented, with about 20% new French oak, primarily Francois Freres. It completed ML fermentation in barrel, and benefitted from biweekly lees stirring to add richness. 599 cases produced.
