This Brut Nature Reserve cava from the Alt Camp region of Tarragona, Spain, had no liqueur de triage added during its disgorgement after its crianza ageing. As a result this cava has preserved its pure expression which allows us to taste cava at its best. This cava was crafted from a coupage of Macabeo and Parellada grapes that were cultivated by the Mascaró family at the Finca Mas Miquel vineyards in Aiguamurcia. The harvest of these grapes was realized by hand and they were transported to the Mascaró winery in small boxes. In order to preserve the full aromatics of the grape varietals the grapes must used for this cava was fermented at controlled temperatures. The second fermentation process and crianza ageing of Mascaró Brut Nature Reserve from Penedès was realized in its bottle for a minimum of 15 months.
