Winemaker Notes
Jasper is a tribute to Bruwer’s late father who was one of Raats’ founders and the viticulturist for nine years. This complex Cabernet Franc-driven Bordeaux blend displays dark berry fruit on the nose, along with the perfume and violets one would expect from a Cabernet Franc-led blend. The palate offers succulent brambly berry fruit intertwined with hints of tobacco and dark chocolate. Silky tannins embrace a lovely minerality which shines through on the lengthy, supple finish.
Blend: 60% Cabernet Franc, 31% Malbec, 7% Petit Verdot, and 2% Merlot.
